Ahhh the Cotswolds. One of the coziest, most charming areas I’ve ever been to! I’ve had the pleasure of visiting the Cotswolds for over 10 years now and have a list of the absolute BEST, can’t-miss spots.

There are a few different experiences you can have depending on length of stay that I will lay out in detail within this guide. Whether you’re just visiting for 2-3 days, or wanting to explore for 5 or more - I share exactly what’s worth doing and what’s worth skipping.

How To Get There

You can take the train, an Uber, or rent a car. Thomas and I like to rent a car at Heathrow and drive straight out to the countryside. It’s the best way to start the trip and only 1 hour from the airport. If you’re not comfortable driving on the other side of the road (takes some getting used to!) then take the train or Uber. On our most recent trip to London, we drove from my friend’s apartment in Chelsea, London to Estelle Manor and it took a little over 1 hour 30 minutes with traffic.

Length of Stay: 2-3 Days

If you’re just looking for a quick weekend getaway pre or post a trip to London (I’d do pre!), I recommend booking either Estelle Manor or Soho Farmhouse. Both hotels are members clubs, but you don’t have to be a member to stay there. Each property is fit with amenities galore - from world class spas, to multiple fine dining restaurants, and sprawling grounds with activities like falconry, archery, and shooting - there’s truly something for everyone and you’ll never get bored. If you’ve already been to both of those properties, then try Heckfield Place which is ultra luxurious.

My complete Cotswolds Guide with my favorite pubs, restaurants, and shops.
